Scope and Authority:
The Manufacturing Planner manages the timely availability of parts and machines within the agreed service levels, taking into account optimal costs (Total costs of ownership principle) management. The Manufacturing Planner is responsible to manage the availability according to realistic planning and take into account the available capacity and customer requirements.

Main Tasks

- Implement processes and tools that focus on early identification and resolution of exceptions / shortages
- Identify component supply risk and proposes / implements corrective actions to secure component supply (shortage management)

- Evaluate component demand against capacities resolving exceptions to ensure component supply
- Manage, reject and returns process according the correct priorities
- Monitor Supply Chain KPI's (use PDCA method)
- Responsible for Master Data management
- Streamline logistics/warehousing activities to minimize all relevant operational cost and communicates in case of exceptions
- Set the right balance between short term and long term planning
- Balance deadlines and details, speed and completeness, and focuses on items with greatest impact

- Incorporates product life cycle into component plans to ensure availability and minimize obsolescence (phase in / phase out management)
- Upon request analyzes, identifies and propose actions regarding Inventory strategies and stock levels
- Work together with Supply Chain Engineer on inventory levels and execution of inventory strategies
- Monitor partnership with supplier while holding supplier fully accountable for supply performance
- Monitor key supplier performance indicators: delivery reliability, supplier lead time and obsolescence
- Identify, define and execute supplier improvement initiatives to increase supply agility and reliability
- Propose and validates logistics agreements with suppliers
- Participate in continuous improvement projects

- Propose continuous improvements, taking into account own workspace, department processes, Marel pro-cesses and supplier processes
- Use available Supply Chain tools / ERP systems and interprets / analyses data to review component plan inputs and constraints
- Enable smart system planning by using / setting up master data (lead times, MRP types, MOQ, etc.)
- Use tools to evaluate and improve supplier performance

Education, Knowledge, and Experience
- HBO educational level or equivalent
- Experience in Supply Chain processes (Planning, Inventory Control)
- Knowledge of ERP, engineering, and reporting systems
- Experience with MS office

- Strong English skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage
