In this role you are primarily an individual contributor and integral part of the NAM HSE Advisors team providing quality HSE advice and support to NAM/OGW Onshore and Offshore Assets. This position concerns a HSE advisory role for locations in the Western part of the Netherlands: ONEgas Den Helder Gas treatment Plant and Area onshore "South West” (Pernis West, Botlek, Rotterdam, Barendrecht, Gaag, 's Gravenzande, Monster, Middelie, West Beemster.
Specific accountabilities:
• Provide high quality actionable HSE advise and implementation of HSE initiatives; like the NAM Safety Leadership Program “Assist & Assure”.
• Execute regular location visits, coach and support our supervisors and contractors on forthcoming HSE topics.
• Conduct assurance activities to determine the HSE awareness and the alignment of working practices with legislation, industry and/or internal standards.
• Participate and contribute to HSE risk assessments/management.
• Promote and actively support the implementation of Legal, Regulatory, Industry, Group, NAM HSE standards, - guidelines, - procedures and -work instructions.
• Hands-on knowledge and a good understanding of relevant NL HSE Regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate incident investigation, help to ensure adequate classification, report out and follow-up.
• If needed host and guide Regulators and Government Agencies during inspection visits on NAM locations.
Skills, Education:
Preferred: HVK, MOSHE or NEBOSH certified Trained Incident Facilitator - Causal Learning.
Core competencies: Motivates, Coaches, Develops and Delivers results.
Requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and/or 2-5 years of experience in applying the discipline skill to oil and gas projects. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks for a specific project phase. Works under general supervision. Technical assurance review is required for the majority of the work products. Has an understanding of how the particular discipline interfaces / integrates with the overall project work scope. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
