PURPOSE:
As a WRFM* Production Technologist you are accountable to maximize cash flow from NAM’s well portfolio. WRFM is and will remain essential for NAM, currently safeguarding, restoring and optimising 20-40% of the assets production capacity per annum, spanning the full subsurface and surface production system and integrating technical and production directorates. Maximizing value from our assets by understanding and optimizing well, reservoir and facility performance is adding significant reserves and production, and this is expected to continue year-on-year.
In 2021 NAM have adopted an agile way of working. In this new operating model, all technical support staff is member of a chapter and allocated to a multi-disciplinary squad supporting an asset or delivery unit.
* WRFM is Well, Reservoir & Facility Management (activities related to production optimization & proactive/reactive restoration, such as well interventions)

DIMENSIONS:
NAM with onshore and offshore assets in both the Netherlands and the UK comprises:
>1200 wells; >190 fields; >50 platforms; >20 production systems

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRODUCTION SYSTEM OPTIMIZATION

• Optimize the integrated field performance for your respective asset and act as the opportunity lead for short- and medium-term production enhancement opportunities.
• Drive initiatives/opportunities that generate cash flow. These span from delivering non-routine well intervention campaigns, optimizing routine well interventions to reduce mean time to repair and/or improving ways of working e.g. simplification, standardization, digitalization.
• Participate in and facilitate well reviews and create visibility of identified opportunities.
• Assess alternative production enhancement concepts and write well intervention proposals with focus on risks, mitigations, and economics.
• Actively participate in value assurance reviews validating the root cause and selected concept.
• Active participation in after action reviews (AAR), role modelling the learner mindset behaviors and ensuring a robust feedback loop into the process.
• Contribute to the definition and execution of the asset and WRFM strategy e.g. annual WRFM plan

SURVEILLANCE & DATA ACQUISITION
• Develop and deliver a data acquisition plan for your respective wells to obtain data on well, reservoir and facility performance
• Maintain and improve the asset Integrated Production System model

WELL INTEGRITY
• Maintain, restore and protect well integrity for your respective asset and ensure that any issues are captured and prioritized.
• Ensure compliance with the NAM’s Well Integrity Management System whilst maintaining a close working relationship with the Well Integrity TA-2
• Actively manage both the preventive and corrective maintenance execution planning and minimize the maintenance backlog and associated risks
• Actively participate in technical reviews for wells with integrity problems and implement risk mitigation measures in a timely fashion

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERTISE:
• A seasoned WRFM Production Technologist with extensive experience in gas well deliquification, artificial lift techniques, stimulation techniques, well integrity and sand control
• An excellent understanding of both company and industry best-practices in WRFM including latest well surveillance and intervention technologies
• Demonstrable commitment to Goal Zero performance of No Harm and No Leaks
• Excellent communication and team skills; successful delivery through others
• Customer-oriented mindset, strong integration skills and a good grasp of other disciplines and functions supporting the asset
• Experience with change management, structured decision-making, and priority setting
• A strong drive to continuously wanting to improve our business and ways of working through process simplification, standardization and automation

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE ROLE
• Targeted start date & contract duration: 15th January 2023, 12 Months contract duration.
• Specific language requirements: English is required, Dutch is beneficial but not a requirement
• Specific skills / trainings / knowledge requirements:
Sound technical competences and experience as Production Technologist.
Experience with gas wells production systems and gas deliquification required.
Prosper software modelling for Inflow/outflow well performance.
• Specific background / previous experience requirements:
Season Production Technologist with relevant experience working in Gas production systems for other Oil & Gas Operators or service companies.
• Rules for remote working: Preferably candidates located in the North of Holland that can be in the office at least 3 times a week and also visit locations
• Office location: Assen, The Netherlands
• Working pattern: Fixed hours (8hrs per day, 40hours a week)
• Team / Department structure: The incumbent will be part of the Production Technology Chapter. He/she will be deployed in the Production Optimisation Squad/Team working alongside a multi-disciplinary team, looking after the production of some of our NL Onshore Assets. Reviewing well production performance (gas wells), identifying opportunities to optimize/increase production, preventing wells from die-out and restoring production from closed-in strings. They also look after surveillance (data acquisition) requirements and support well integrity.
