We are looking for an engineer with a strong focus on building API's. Today its REST but maybe tomorrow GraphQL. Our team is building a generic quotation platform where NN products can be seamlessly integrated using an API contract. The other part is the consumer side; there we need to build API's to have our consumers request quotations for those products. So its API's all over the place. Some of the challenges you might encounter

- How do we create an easy to use API contract for products to hook themselves up (self service) - How can we make the total experience for the user of the platform seamless even though they consume API's of multiple (internal) parties? - How do we encode business rules in such a way that we can transfer them over API's?

- How can we help product teams to onboard themselves for their own products?

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate:

 - Strong knowledge about RESTfull API's (versioning, contracts, response codes, ...) - NodeJS, Typescript and deploying it on AWS using Serverless/CDK is what you do for breakfast - Not only talk tech; we need to also be guiding our business unit engineering teams towards API-first development - Not afraid for enterprise scale development; within our teams we are empowered although

We have the largere ecosystem/org to be mindfull of Tools & Tech which we use on daily basis within NN - Cloud:

- AWS - CICD: Azure DevOps (And some gitlab here and there) - Code: Typescript - OPS: Splunk for logging & alerting - Integrations: WSO2 as API store/proxy - Integrations: Most of our frontends are built in React/Vue, some using low-code solutions
