Key responsibilities and tasks
Give independent, authoritative and high quality advice (wanted/unwanted) to increase
Health and Safety.
Support the Onshore Wind, Solar & Batteries and Hydrogen teams on implementation of the
BA Wind HSE Management System in cooperation Electrical Safety Specialists.
Support and coach assigned sites and accountable managers increase their H&S awareness
and leadership to fulfil their H&S responsibilities by;
o Supporting them improve on their H&S standards and culture.
o Assisting with, reviewing and monitoring H&S plans, risk assessments and method
statements and relevant H&S documentation from Vattenfall and contractors.
o Leading task based and generic risk assessments for operational activities and
supporting in HIRA/DRA.
o Ensuring the site management implements, reviewing and testing the emergency
response procedure, site H&S rules and inductions.
o Delivering H&S training and toolbox talks to site team and contractors. Reviewing
and collating customer safety alerts and disseminate to relevant parties.
o Conducting regular H&S walks on site with management and contractors.
o Influencing contractor evaluation, cooperation and compliance with Vattenfall
Operational Control Procedures.
o Ensuring accidents/incidents are reported, handled and investigated in accordance
with company procedures and legal requirements. Processing assigned Intelex cases
and supporting feedback H&S learnings in BA Wind lessons learned database.
o Reviewing and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting
with any regulatory visits or information requests.
Coordinate, communicate and report on H&S status and performance on a weekly basis.
On request, participate in BA Wind safety and sustainability assessments.
Required Competences
The required competences of this role are relevant H&S qualification and experience, preferably
more than 5 years, good understanding of EU and local H&S legislation for Onshore Wind, Solar and
Batteries, valid full VCA and GWO certifications.
