What types of assignment does HeadFirst offer?

Through us, our clients hire in professionals from the fields of IT, finance, human resources, marketing and communications or professionals with experience in the financial services sector. An overview of the types of assignments we offer can be found here.

What are my chances of securing an assignment when I register?

Whilst we are unable to give any guarantees, we do promise to do our absolute best to help you find an appealing assignment. This all depends on the client and their specific needs. It is therefore difficult to predict a match, and when one might occur.

What do HeadFirst’s services cost?

At HeadFirst, we use a model whereby both the client and the independent professional pay for the services they use. In your case, there is a choice between a Basic (free), Premium (€3.00 per hour worked) or Excellent service package (€6.00 per hour worked). You can find out more about our working method and pricing here.

In addition, the client pays a fixed, low fee on top of the rate you charge us. This fee covers our services to the client: recruitment and selection, contract and risk management and administration. We are transparent about our final fees. Want to know what the client is paying? Feel free to ask.

What is the difference between Basic, Premium and Excellent registration?

Our new Excellent service package not only means guaranteed payment within 15 days, it also gives you closer access to a dedicated relationship manager to advise and assist with finding your next assignment. Alternatively, engage a job coach to discuss your personal development. You can enjoy these benefits for just €6 per hour worked. This service level also includes all of the benefits that come with the Premium package.

Premium registration (€3.00 per hour worked) allows you to apply for open assignments direct and be visible to clients and our recruiters 24/7. In addition, you’ll receive assignments and tailored advice from your dedicated relationship manager. This package insures you against liability. We always pay within 25 days. And of course, we provide second-to-none contractual and administrative processing.

By choosing the Basic registration, you are keeping many things in your own hands. And that’s why there are no costs involved. You won’t be taking advantage of our full service offering: as such, you won’t be able to respond to open assignments through HeadFirst Select. Invoices will be paid in line with the payment terms agreed with the client. Customisation of contracts is not possible. What we will do, is carefully and quickly process contracts for assignments with our clients that you come across via your own network.

How soon will my invoices be paid?

Premium registration guarantees that all invoices will be paid within 25 days. Even if the client has not yet paid us. If you work through us on a Basic registration basis, we will pay your invoices according to the payment terms agreed with the client, plus a few administration days.

I have found an assignment and would like to use HeadFirst as an intermediary. What do I need to do?

We’re delighted you have us in mind! Call us on 023 – 568 56 30 or send an email to info@headfirst.nl. We will be in touch as soon as possible to discuss the options.

Do I need to register as an independent professional or supplier of professionals?

The registration process for independent professionals is the same as that for suppliers. By completing the fields, you will automatically be assigned the appropriate profile. If your business consists of more than one person, you will always be registered as a supplier. This is the case even if you are operating as a private limited company consisting of two people.

How do I log in?

You can log in once you have registered in HeadFirst Select. Once registered, click on ‘login’ in the top right-hand corner of the website and enter your email address and password. Forgotten your password? Simply request a new one through the ‘forgotten password’ option. Forgotten which email address you registered with? Email us at info@headfirst.nl.

My account has been locked. What should I do?

There are two possible reasons for this:
1. You have entered the incorrect password too many times back to back. You can unlock your account by requesting a new password using the ‘forgotten password’ option.

2. We have identified an error in your profile. There are various possible reasons for this. Please get in touch with us at info@headfirst.nl or by calling 023 – 568 56 30 and we will resolve the issue.

I would like to arrange a meeting with you before I register. Is that possible?

Of course – we’d love to meet you. Please call us to make an appointment on 023 – 568 56 30. It will be helpful if you register for free in advance of our meeting. This will provide us with some initial information on your organisation and give us a starting point for discussion.

I occasionally hire in independent professionals to work for our clients: can I still come to HeadFirst?

Please get in touch on 023 – 568 56 30 or at info@headfirst.nl.

How do I create a login for a new user?

First, log in as yourself. You can create a login for a new contact under the ‘Account’ tab. Alternatively, send an email to info@headfirst.nl. In it, state the first name and surname of your colleague, along with their telephone number and email address. This will allow us to create a new login as quickly as possible.

How do I register my organisation with HeadFirst?

Registering is simple to do online and is entirely without obligation.

I want to hire an independent professional but am not sure what’s involved. Can HeadFirst help?

There is a lot to consider when hiring an independent professional: contracts, commercial agreements, creating a dossier and a whole range of risks. During our 20 year history, we have gained a lot of experience in the risks associated with external hires, plus the related legislation, regulations and administration. We will be happy to help answer any questions. Call us on 023 – 568 56 30, or send an email to info@headfirst.nl. We will be in touch with you as soon as possible.

I hire independent professionals on a sporadic basis: can I still come to HeadFirst?

Even if you only rarely hire in independent professionals, we’ll gladly help. Whether you’re an SME or work for an international outfit – anyone looking for temporary expertise can come to us.

How does HeadFirst guarantee that I’m paying the going market rate for the independent professional I'm hiring?

Our network consists of over 20,000 professionals. You can find them on HeadFirst Select: our very own online marketplace. Each professional is transparent about their guideline rate. A competitive environment is assurance that you are always paying the going market rate. Want to know what the average hourly rate for a specific type of professional is in advance? We’d be happy to advise you with a simple benchmark rate.

We never work in chains, which would only drive up costs for you. This is just one of a number of measures that ensure that you never pay over the odds for the professional you are hiring. Want to find out more about your estimated costs, and how we do all we can to keep them low? Call us on 023 – 568 56 30, or send an email to info@headfirst.nl. We will be in touch with you as soon as possible.

On your website, you mention ‘taking on the risks of hiring professionals for you’: what does this mean?

Hiring in an external professional carries with it a number of risks. These range from risks arising from chain liability or the Waadi (placement of personnel by intermediaries) Act to damages for professional and business liability and penalties due to disguised employment. At HeadFirst, we take these worries off your hands. Leaving you to focus on your core business. Find out more about risk management here.
