Job Description

Domain
This role is situated in the Big Data Analytics (BDA) Domain. Our teams have mixture of young talent and senior specialists and have a strong focus on delivering business value for our stakeholders. In addition, we work in the Scaled Agile Framework 5.0.
Team

Role and responsibilities
In this role you will be positioned in one of the Scrum devops teams within our Corporate Analytics Hub department. This Agile Release Train operates and delivers a plethora of analytics applications and solutions to our corporate sectors (i.e. HR, marketing, sales, communications, IT etc).
In your daily activities you will be closely aligned with your peer engineers/developers, our solution architects and teams that are responsible for building the technical integration.

Goal
As HANA Cloud Application developer your primary task is to implement domain specific custom logic to technically enable implementation of HANA Cloud data models by fellow HANA Cloud developers (modelers) in your team. And in turn, to help realize our product backlog as defined by our Product Owners.
This is mainly, but not exclusively done, by making use of the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (or CAP), which is a framework of languages, libraries, and tools for building enterprise-grade services and applications. More specifically, using the CAP Service SDK for Node.js.
Next to the development we expect you to own your solutions by making sure it’s optimized and the quality is assured.
You will be using multiple integrated systems, so you’ll help organize the interfaces together with the integration team and your system architect.
The frontend will be built by a front end developer, who you will have to liaise with on a regular basis, so having knowledge of Spotfire is helpful.

Education and experience
-Bachelor degree or higher
-Excellent understanding of CAP / Node.js
-Knowledge and skilled in various coding languages (e.g. Python)
-Experience with developing using GIT based HANA automated deployment pipelines
-Knowledge of OData / REST services
-Understanding of SAP HANA (2.0 / Cloud), Data Modelling and writing procedures
-Knowledge of SQL
-Basic Spotfire skills
