Founded in 2017, Blockchain Innovation Team helps businesses understand, explore and build blockchain and web3 solutions that will enable them to deliver on their strategy and/or build new revenue models. The team combines deep technical understanding, strategic insights and legal expertise with an agile methodology to deliver concrete results. We are a small team of highly dedicated professionals with their own specific expertise; together we know everything about blockchain, crypto and web3 and its applicability. We reside in Amsterdam, London, Berlin and Bangalore but work globally and for all businesses and functions in Shell.

As a Blockchain Innovation Analyst, you are an expert in your field. You will work on the development of new cutting edge blockchain and web3 use cases for the energy sector. This involves collaborating with ecosystems, start-ups and companies on different projects that will revolutionize the energy sector and deliver value to Shell.

A range of responsibilities include initiating, planning, designing, executing, deploying enabled by acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, framed within agreed parameters of cost, time and quality to meet identified business objectives. Ensures appropriate and effective governance, manages interdependencies, and ensures alignment of project objectives with business and Blockchain strategies ultimately resulting in realization of business benefits. Develops methods and techniques for preparing and presenting business cases, feasibility studies, and the definition of solution scope. Drives appropriate behaviors, organisational engagement, and business readiness to ensure a successful and accepted result.

Mandatory Skills
•    Have a passion for blockchain technology, the crypto landscape and the innovative potential for the energy sector
•    Knowledge of Distributed system concepts, Blockchain protocols, NFTs, ReFi and DeFi
•    Technical understanding of protocols (Ethereum, Bitcoin,), layer 2 solutions and smart contracts
•    Have the ability to lead projects with multi-disciplinary teams, to bring innovative concepts to life and create solid innovation strategies.
•    Be a critical thinker when it comes to blockchain & web 3 technologies
•    Host workshops together with Shell businesses and external parties to identify new opportunities
•    Demonstrate knowledge of the energy sector, renewable energy & the energy transition
•    Minimum Education or Certification: Masters degree in CS / BA / Economics or relevant fields
