Senior Network Engineer/Solution Architect

Position description
Viterra is looking for a Senior Network Engineer/Solution Architect who can help us to improve our networking environment. You will play an important role in designing and building the global network infrastructure. The networking team in Rotterdam is responsible for ensuring stability, integrity, flexibility, security and continuity for all networks in the EMEA region, the EMEA datacentre networks and has a joint responsibility for the global WAN and global designs.

You design, implement and improve these services, which includes creating roadmaps, evaluating new technologies, preparing changes in the technical infrastructure, deploying new components and coordinating in case of major network disruptions and incidents.

Duties
•    The networking and firewall solutions are a vital part of the global IT foundation. You will take responsibility for the design, deployment and management of those solutions.
•    Creating & maintaining template based designs for implementation by local IT teams around the world.
•    Designing global Network, Firewall and Load Balance solutions.
•    Developing and maintaining global networking and security standards
•    Integration Azure/AWS IAAS environments with the global network.
•    Build a clear vision on network automation via the Ansible platform with a goal to manage network components using scripts.
•    With your expertise you can support with troubleshooting, deploying and resolving LAN, WAN, VOIP, Wi-Fi, VPN, security and datacenter related issues;
•    Work with the Information security team to continuously improve the network security and act on security incidents when necessary.
•    Ensure compliance with Viterra’s policies and procedures.
•    Willing to work outside normal office hours and weekends, if required.

Required skills and experience
•    Bachelor/Master or equivalent in Information Technology or other relevant field;
•    Minimum of 8 or more years of experience in a similar position;
•    Fortinet Firewall experience, preferably with relevant certifications (NSE4 and NSE5)
•    Experience in creating proposals and solution design documents;
•    Experience in firewall and network management in large and complex environments (design and operations);
•    Good in English (spoken and written).
•    Experience with Ansible, Python or other network automation tooling
•    Experience working with F5 products, including Load Balancers
Experience with the following would be a bonus:
•    Certified Cisco CCIE
•    Distribution and access technologies based on Cisco Catalyst 9000 family and Nexus 9000 series;
•    Cisco Radius, TACACS+, AAA security appliance and software including 802.1x
