MDM Engineer

As a Mobile Device Management Engineer specializing in Microsoft Intune, you will be responsible for the technical design, implementation, and migration of our mobile device management infrastructure. Your role will involve configuring and optimizing Microsoft Intune to ensure the security, compliance, and seamless operation of our organization's mobile ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
• Microsoft Intune Configuration: Configure Microsoft Intune to manage mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and security standards.

• Policy and Profile Management: Develop and implement device policies, profiles, and configurations within Microsoft Intune to enforce security measures, control access, and optimize device performance.

• Application Deployment: Setup the deployment of applications to mobile devices using Microsoft Intune, including app assignment, licensing, and version control, to support organizational productivity and collaboration.

• Security Enforcement: Implement security measures within Microsoft Intune, such as device encryption, conditional access policies, and compliance checks, to protect corporate data and mitigate security risks.

• Device Enrolment and Provisioning: Streamline the enrolment and provisioning process for mobile devices, leveraging Microsoft Intune's capabilities for automated device enrolment, provisioning profiles, and over-the-air updates.

• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Setup the monitoring of the health and performance of the Microsoft Intune environment, provide aftercare within the project by identifying and resolving issues related to device management, application deployment, and security configurations.

• Integration and Automation: Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to integrate Microsoft Intune with other IT systems and applications, and develop automation scripts and workflows to streamline administrative tasks and enhance operational efficiency.

• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain detailed documentation of Microsoft Intune configurations, processes, and procedures, and provide training and knowledge sharing sessions to empower IT staff and end users.

What specific knowledge does the self employed professional have (which we do not have and which possible replacement should also have)?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 10 years of experience in IT, with a focus on mobile device management and enterprise mobility solutions.

• Proficiency in configuring and managing Microsoft Intune for mobile device management.

• In-depth knowledge of mobile operating systems, device management protocols, and security principles.

• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation for Microsoft Intune administration.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to mobile device management.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Intune and Azure Administrator Associate, are preferred.

Results/Goals of the project
• Configure Microsoft Intune environment for Viterra owned mobile devices (Apple and Android), and for privately owned mobile devices (BYOD).
• Security and compliance policies defined, implemented and managed.
• EBF onboarder or similar tool configured and deployed for easy migration from WorkspaceOne MDM solutions to Microsoft Intune
• For all Viterra mobile applications a policy is defined and deployed to provide a secure and stable environment
• Conditional Access policies designed and configured for Viterra owned mobile devices.
• Apple Business Manager configured for future usage.
• Created and executed test plans for Unit testing, System Integration testing and user acceptance tests.
• All Viterra owned mobile devices migrated to Microsoft Intune.
• Hand over to support of the Intune MDM environment including required support documentation and Governance model.
